Thank you for your interest in my website.

Due to privacy legislation, I am required to tell you how I use and process the personal data that I collect from you when you use the Maya Light website or place an order. Personal data is all data that provide information about you which can directly or indirectly identify you.

I need this information because of the contractual agreements between you and Maya Light. I collect your personal data for the purpose of processing your order, managing your account, or getting in contact with you.

In addition, I collect your personal data to comply with legal obligations, to deal with complaints and to prevent fraudulent purchases. I only process personal data that are strictly necessary for the above-mentioned purposes, namely, your first and last name, address, phone number and e-mail address.

The Maya Light website does not place cookies on your computer device. Likewise, I do not prepare automated client profiles for advertising purposes. The legal bases for the processing of your personal data are set out in Art. 6, sentences 1a through 1f of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union (EU). Due to commercial and tax regulations, I am obliged to store your order, address and payment data for a period of seven years.

It goes without saying that your personal data must remain personal and do not become public or be used for unlawful purposes. I therefore take every possible measure to keep your data safe, using secure internet connection, password-protected electronic systems, and security software for virus scanning.

If you wish to know which of your personal data I keep on record, you can send me an e-mail to info@mayalightjewelry.com, requesting access to your data and I shall respond within two weeks. Should you find this data to be incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to ask me to edit your details, delete your data record or restrict its usage. Your rights are regulated in Chapter 3 of the GDPR.

Should you wish to report a complaint or feel that I have not addressed your concern in a satisfactory manner, you may contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority. I keep my privacy policy under regular review and place any update as necessary on this website.
